As you are driving, your body involuntarily jumps. Sweat begins on your forehead and appears on your body, even though it is the middle of Winter. Inside of your left thigh, there is a tapping that is not harmful but noticeable. And you begin to wonder if sanity has departed or control of your motor skills is no longer your own. Then, the epiphany becomes clear. This is Revenge of the Orgasm.

A sensual and scintillating collection of Erotic Poetry from the male perspective…

I only think of you in between the blinks of my eyes.
But I have told you a falsehood.
Every other heartbeat, you inhabit my mindset as well. I
am obsessed with you.

It takes a massive amount of ego to decide to write under the pen name “Greatest Poet Alive” and as a reader its easy to see such a boast and declare that the outcome will fall under one of two categories:

1. The author will live up to their chosen name…
2. This book is going to fail spectacularly…

Poetry is a very subjective genre – I personally found this collection of poems to incredibly entertaining. The jury is still out on whether this is the “Greatest” but I’m pleased to say this collection is certainly worth the read.

There’s something particularly intriguing about the obviously male perspective giving voice to these erotic interludes… The collection of poems is a celebration of sex and the female form.

There is a beautiful rhythm to each and every piece, and the flow will keep you satisfied!

The diverse subject matter includes scenes of voyeurism, exhibitionism, light BDSM, and a few scenes of infidelity… In addition to heaping amounts of lust…

Chocolate, Powdered Sugar and Strawberries

The strawberries were large and cool.
Powdered sugar was abundantly spread over the strawberries Warm was the chocolate because that is the scent it gave off. She licked, licked, licked, and licked the sugar from the strawberry’s skin

Her teeth took a bite of the cool strawberry, and the juice tasted her lips, which her tongue wiped away.
Then with her spoon, she scooped some of the warm chocolate onto her plate, dipping her strawberry into it fluently.
What a combination…

The chocolate meshed with the strawberry, upon her lips coated with powdered sugar And with aggressive intent, I watched
After she finished her third strawberry, her gaze captured mine. She asked what I was thinking.
Again, I chuckled.

In another universe or another date, I would have told her the truth. The length and width of me was supposed to be the sugar she licked off
My undercarriage and neck would be the strawberries she bit into And opposed to her dipping chocolate, I would dip, delve into her

Discretion overcame bravado I said none of that
Besides, it was just our first date.

Q&A with G.P.A.

If you were to describe your book in only one word, what would it be?

What would you say inspired you to write it?
My encounters with several beautiful women inspired Revenge of the Orgasm. Also, I believe that ROTO gave me separated the distance between myself and whoever might be second to me. Plus, most books of sensual Poetry are fantastical. These are true events written as epic poems.

Have you ever been hit by the infamous “writer’s block”? What did you do to escape it?
Writer’s block is a myth. Never experienced it.

Your all time favorite book?
The Catcher in the Rye

What made you pick that one above all others?
The story of this young man discovering himself was appealing to me when I read it. And it impacted me going forward.

What’s the longest time you’ve spent working on a project?
Five months was spent writing  my third book, The Mind of a Poetic Unsub. I did this because I wanted to throw a lot of poetic muscle at my readers.

Would you say becoming an author has changed you? In what way?
I have a great purpose in life that I didn’t have before. And for me to have people that wish to read my work is overwhelming.

What does your day-to-day life consist of? What else do you do, aside writing?
I play video games, walk with Scooter the Beagle, hang with my family, work out, and watch movies.

How do you deal with bad reviews or acid criticism? What would you advise other authors to that effect?
You have to shrug it off and take it evenly.  Otherwise, you will go crazy.

Is this title part of a series? Without giving us spoilers, of course, what can we expect from the next e-books/books in the series?
Revenge of the Orgasm is the third book in The Lust Series.

What do you have stored for us in the future? What are you working on/planning on next, aside this title/series?
The next book is “Summer with Bobo”, the sequel to the best selling “Hi, My Name is Bobo”.

What made you decide to become an Indie Author?
Poetry isn’t one of those genres that is highly sought after, so I really had no choice. But I dig it.

What would you say was the toughest part?
The toughest part of being an indie author is your budget is what it is, and that’s what you have to work with. From there, you do your promoting, traveling, hiring, etc.

Where is your work being distributed, Amazon, B&N, Smashwords, AllRomanceEbooks/ Omnilit, some other distributor? How did you decide which one(s) to go with?
Amazon. It was so much simpler than what I had been doing, trying to work with different people.

If you could turn back in time and do things differently, would you? What would you change?
I would have married the right woman.  That makes all the difference in the world.

Fun Facts

If you could wish for any one thing, and it would immediately come true, what would you wish for?
A million dollars cash, my family healthy and near me, my health, and Her.

Andrea Smith – These Men

These Men by Andrea Smith

Series: G-Man (Spin-off)
Source: Personal Library
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This novella is a spin-off from the G-Men Series and can be read as a stand-alone.

Paige Matthews has a lot to learn – about everything, including herself. At age twenty-two, Paige finds herself driving across the country to start an internship with the F.B.I. in Quantico, Virginia.

You would think that Paige would be grateful to her older brother, Trace Matthews, a senior F.B.I. agent who pulled strings on her behalf to get her into the program, right?

Paige is not overly enthused at the realization that her parents have pushed her from the nest and onto her older brother’s plate for the time being. Always a loner, she quickly wears out her welcome with Trace and his wife Lindsey, due to her . . . need for random hook-ups, and finds herself crashing with her oldest brother, Easton, and his wife Darcy.

Through Darcy, Paige is introduced to her sister-in-law’s former roommate and bestie male friend, Eli Chambers, along with his sinfully handsome partner, Cain Maddox. They’re looking for a roommate and Paige is looking to get out from underneath her family’s watchful eye.

This is no typical “Three’s Company” story though. Paige embarks on a journey of self-discovery that teaches her not only about giving, but about accepting love as well. She soon realizes that sometimes what you’re searching for has been right there with you all along.

I’m a total sucker for a well-crafted Menage story…

“A threesome is an event,” he replied. “I’m looking for much more than that, Paige.”

Modern Erotic Romance is a wide world full of diverse sub-genres. There is something for everyone! No matter your kink, there’s an author who can satisfy your needs.

Some readers flock to Billionaires, Cowboys, Vampires, or Rockstars… Some readers dig on Happily-ever-Afters, dirty-talk, abductions, BDSM, Motorcycle gangs…

I’ll stop now, but you get the idea…

As you may already know, I am a Professional Reader of Erotica. I have read every kink imaginable and I am often asked “What is your favorite kind of Erotica?” and the answer has been the same for years.

MMF Erotic Romance is my jam.

MMF Romance: That’s two bisexual males and one female.
One Relationship, three hearts, three minds, three souls, and yes… One bed.

(Find More MMF Romances I’ve reviewed by clicking here)

The sex is a huge draw for me (obviously) in these types of relationships, but it also brings out my favorite kind of angst and indecision.

Plus, it is a difficult scenario to write… and write well.
The reader has to LIKE all three of the parties involved.

If any of the three rub the reader the wrong way, we will immediately start hoping that the trio turns into a happy duo.

There are so many pieces of information which must come together to satisfy the reader’s desire to know that this (yes, I know it’s fictional) relationship, however uncommon, is built to last.

That’s a lot of suspension of disbelief. It is a hard enough thing to accomplish a believable love story between two parties…
But this is about THREE.
three personalities
three back-stories

…and Andrea Smith took on the monumental task of accomplishing it in 140 pages.

My hat is off to Andrea Smith… I’d love to see what she can do with a full length novel & the MMF theme… And by that I mean:

Dear Andrea Smith,
Please may I have some more?

K. Bromberg – UnRaveled

UnRaveledUnRaveled by K. Bromberg

Source: Personal Library
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

UnRaveled is a darker erotic novella that is not suitable for people sensitive to non-consensual sex. This is a story about a stale marriage and the couple’s unconvential attempt to find that spark again.

This novella was originally released as part of the Erotica Consortium’s anthology – BEND.

One night.
One mistake.
Filled with fear.
Sated by pleasure.
Robbed of control.
Blindfolded and bound.
Shamed she liked it.
Doomed to want it.
Limits tested.
Boundaries pushed.
Desire awakened.
Inhibition unleashed.
An identity unraveled.
Lives changed forever.

An Erotic Abduction Fantasy for your steamy pleasure:

“I’m going to fuck you. By the time I’m done, you’ll beg me to keep going. Then you’ll beg me to stop. Regardless, you’ll take what I give you – all of it – and you’ll enjoy every single fucking moment of it. And Marco is going to watch. Understood?”

This short story has themes which many find objectionable – I’m not one of them, but I feel obligated to warn you of the contents:
– Abduction
– Non/Dubious Consent
– Forced Infidelity
– BDSM Sexual Situations

Left alone on what should have been the romantic Tenth Wedding Anniversary vacation of her dreams, Lil is mourning the loss of sexual satisfaction in her marriage.

While drinking in a bar, her eyes meet those of a mysterious stranger, and the consequences of that one glance have a ripple effect which will change her life forever.

Lil is drugged by this stranger and wakes blindfolded, chained to a bed, & naked…

The kinky details:

– Blindfolds
– Ball-Gags
– Shackles
– Chains
– Hot Wax
– Floggers
– Butt Plugs
– Forced Exhibitionism
– Double-Penetration

…The real story is that Lil must to grips with the fact that on some level she ENJOYS what is happening to her.

How can I find pleasure from this man who is holding me against my will?

I must admit that I do love a good abduction fantasy…

On a side note:
The saving grace for this story in the eyes and minds of the squeamish Erotica reader might be the twist at the end…
But is was an easy conclusion that Anderson had orchestrated the elaborate abduction/seduction, and that he was the mysterious voyeur present…

This story might not be for general audiences, but I certainly enjoyed it, and it set the tone for things to come…

I read this book as part of the Bend Anthology which features some of the most talented authors currently working in Modern Romance.

C.D. Reiss – Jessica and Sharon

Jessica and Sharon by C.D. Reiss

Series: Songs of Submission #3.5
Source: Personal Library
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The world through Jonathan Drazen’s eyes.

*This book is NOT a standalone. You need to read the others in the Songs of Submission Series*

The Songs of Dominance were released as an experiment. They were traded peer-to-peer on the Goodreads group, CD Canaries, and on my Facebook page.
But the stories have become canonical, and things are revealed here that will be come important later, so I feel they need to reach a larger audience.
Please read these after Submit, or you’re going to run into major spoilers. It’s best if you read before Control, but not a big deal if you read Control first.

Seeing the world through Jonathan’s eyes was an absolute treat!

(Warning: This review contains spoilers if you haven’t read the first three books in the Songs of Submission series – Beg, Tease, & Submit)

Novellas like this are proof of a writer’s commitment to their audience. We could have been left with the cryptic and vaguely unsatisfying story which Monica heard… But instead we were treated to the inside of Jonathan Drazen’s head – Thank you C.D. Reiss!

I knew she was special the night I met her, I just didn’t know how special.

Going into the third book in the Songs of Submission series, Jonathan Drazen had a lot to answer for. Monica was told some particularly shocking information about Jonathan’s activities after he dropped her off following the disastrous Eclipse show. Monica was left re-thinking her entire relationship (for lack of a better word) with the man-whore lover whose touch she was beginning to crave…

This Novella is a combination of two books
in the Songs of Dominance Duo:

Jessica (Songs of Dominance, #1) by C.D. Reiss
Songs of Dominance #1 – JESSICA

Jessica had to be my choice. I’d taken a vow, begged for it to be honored, and waited so long that turning away from the possibility of a reunion seemed ludicrous.

This book picks up the story line right as Jonathan drops of Monica after Eclipse. We get the entire story of what went down with his ex-wife, all the unsettling details. Because this story was told from Jonathan’s POV, we had the opportunity to discover the extent of the scars caused by his ex-wife, and a better understanding of his emotional state and motives regarding all his relationships to date…

Sharon (Songs of Dominance #2) by C.D. Reiss
Songs of Dominance #2 – SHARON

When we first started screwing, she was a wreck from a string of abusive, boundary-free masters who beat or fucked her confidence away, and I was broken from Jessica’s complete rejection of my needs. We were two complete disasters trying to teach each other the meaning of safe, sane, consensual kink.

All we knew about Sharon was what Johnathan had told Monica in Submit – That she was a submissive, who he topped occasionally, but he broke off their arrangement. This book tells the whole story – Who is Sharon? What exactly was her relationship with Jonathan? How and why did they end their partnership? This was incredibly satisfying because we had the opportunity to see more of how Jonathan became interested in kink, as well as the emergence of Jonathan’s growing attachment to Monica… Absolutely lovely!

All we knew about Sharon was what Johnathan had told Monica in Submit – That she was a submissive, who he topped occasionally, but he broke off their arrangement. This book tells the whole story – Who is Sharon? What exactly was her relationship with Jonathan? How and why did they end their partnership?

This story takes place between books two & three of the Songs of Submission Series, while Jonathan is on the business trip in San Francisco…

During these same moments in Los Angeles, Monica is reeling from the bombshell dropped by ex-wife Jessica… She is seriously re-thinking her attachment to Jonathan.

Turns out that Jonathan was re-thinking his attachment to her as well, but going in an entirely different direction. He’s ending things with the other women in his life, reminiscing about his time with Monica, and wondering how to move forward for the first time since his divorce…

Jonathan talking about Monica:

“The first time I talked to her, in my office, she was a waitress at me hotel. I looked at her, trying to figure out why she looked so tangible, so present. Every curve looked exactly right. Even her skin is this perfect color […] She saw me looking, and she stood with her hands on her hips, daring me to get an eyeful. No fear. She filled that fucking room… She took my breath away…”

Jonathan thinking about breaking it off with Sharon:

Sharon had been exquisite. Attractive, willing, discreet and far away, she’s do what I told her without question, talk to me about anything and never open her mouth about who she screwed four or five days a month…

I’m such a sucker for the Male POV, and Jonathan’s did not disappoint. I felt that his split from Sharon was far more satisfying that the dramatic encounter with Jessica in the previous book, though I doubt we’ve seen the last of either of these women… Knowing the work of C.D. Reiss, these two will probably wind up with their very own series or story arc…

Jonathan’s POV that take place during Submit’s timeline.

The first story tells you all about Jonathan’s night with Jessica, before he left for San Francisco.

(Warning: This review contains spoilers if you haven’t read the first three books in the Songs of Submission series – Beg, Tease, & Submit)

At the end of book two in the Songs of Submission Series, Monica was left reeling after Jonathan’s ex-wife Jessica described how she had broken her wrist. We were dying to know,

This book is told 100% from Jonathan’s point of view – which is AWESOME – and starts at the moment he moment he drops off Monica following the Eclipse Show. We get to see exactly what went down with his ex-wife that night, and all the raw emotions which continue to effect Jonathan following their divorce.

“I don’t want to hurt anyone. You’re so fucking vanilla, Jess. It’s like a religion. You can’t see outside it.”

She was a bundle of nerves, which no other person would notice because she never wasted a movement. She didn’t have a set of sweet little tics like Monica. Jessica was still water, her tension revealed in her gaze, which sat in the middle distance.

I wasn’t thrilled to see the behavior that either character exhibited in this novella, and we’re beginning to see how toxic their relationship was… especially near the end.

Which by the way… Jessica,

Kitty French – Knight & Play

Knight & Play (Knight, #1)Knight & Play by Kitty French
Series: Knight #1
Source: Personal Library
(Borrowed Copy)
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There’s only one thing in life Lucien Knight really hates, and that’s husbands who cheat on their wives.

There’s only one problem in Sophie Black’s life. Her cheating husband…

From the moment Lucien & Sophie meet, the seal is set.

Romantic, emotional & intensely erotic, Knight and Play is the perfect read for lovers of international bestsellers Fifty Shades & Bared To You. Let yourself be swept away by Part One of the Knight series from Kitty French, a romance so hot it’ll burn your fingers…

CEO of Knight Inc. Lucien Knight is catch-your-breath gorgeous and damaged by his troubled past in Norway. All grown up and relocated to London, he’s built his empire of adult clubs from the ground up to become the gorgeous patron saint of the sex industry. No one knows the dark childhood secrets that have given Lucien a backbone of steel and a heart encased in ice. No one until Sophie Black, that is…

From the moment girl-next-door Sophie accepts the job as Lucien Knight’s PA, she understands how Alice must have felt when she tumbled down the rabbit hole. Lucien takes her safe, vanilla life away and plunges her head first into a huge dish of fantasy flavours. Rich, spicy chocolate covered with dark, oozingly lickable sauce? Check. Tutti-frutti with indecently red, glistening cherries on the top? Yes please.

Lucien strips away all of Sophie’s inhibitions, and when he instructs her to select three new toys, she soon realises he has more than a game of Monopoly on his mind…

He’s opened the door to a whole new pleasure packed world without limits, and Sophie is utterly intoxicated. But how far is she willing to go? And what happens when she has to step back into reality again?

Lucien & Sophie’s is a story of star crossed love and forbidden passion, a sexual odyssey that spans the globe and changes both of their lives forever. Let it change yours, too.

Kitty French begins her Knight Series with a Bang!
Several hot, toy-enhanced, & kinky bangs.

He was hands down the most charismatic, fabulous man she’d ever met, the stuff of every woman’s daydreams, but life with him in it rather felt like having her foot jammed on the accelerator. He left her breathless and giddy, and he did things to her body that she didn’t even know could be done. She barely knew him, yet he seemed to know her inside out.

I’d say the official breakdown is:

10% you know exactly what’s about to happen
20% agonizing over the guilt of cheating/being cheated on
70% explicit, panty-melting sex

Warning: This is a rough cliff-hanger, so be prepared to immediately move on to book two.

He only had to touch her and it was as if he’d flicked the ‘seduce me now’ switch in her head.

Lucien Knight is everything I’ve come to expect in a scorching hot alpha-male billionaire who runs a successful corporation which specializes in sex.

The girl was eighty percent kitten and twenty percent lioness, and he considered it his mission to make her roar.

Sophie Black’s sexual and emotional journey was funny, angsty, and steamy. Admittedly, she is not may favorite person; hard to take the moral high-ground when you decide to cheat on your cheating husband…

There is a serious rift among reviewers of this book…
Some readers absolutely loved it. Others bashed the crap out of it. To the haters: allow me to address some of your main points with the following explanation…
1. You knew it was mostly sex
2. You knew he was an Alpha-Male Billionaire Type
3. You knew there was cheating
…Those three complaints are the main soap-box for detractors of this book, but Kitty French clearly warned readers of this right in her synopsis of the book.

Question: Did you also read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies then complain in your review because you don’t like zombies?

Better Question: Did you read this book knowing that you probably wouldn’t be comfortable with what was going to happen, then gleefully hate on this?

My Confession Time…

I was contacted by the author (Kitty French) the day after the third book in this series, Knight & Day went live here in the States. Based on my reading habits she asked if I would like a review copy of her new book. I asked around, saw that the series was rated highly among my book friends and agreed. I borrowed copies of the first two books from Wendy (Wendy’s Thoughts)… It took me half a chapter to realize that I knew this book.

When it was originally published I saw it on the “best sellers” charts on iBooks, read the synopsis, and passed it over. Then promptly forgot about it. Why did I pass it over? Infidelity. The subject acts as a red-flag for a probable bias against the entire book because I don’t like the subject matter.

I am a professional reader of Erotica. I’ve read every kind of sex there is, from hard core to the softest vanilla and every sweaty, kinky moment in between. So when I say that a subject is “red-flag” I’m being quite literal… I have a list (albeit a short one) of Erotica I will not read for work because it is not the author’s fault that I don’t dig cheating stories. An author doesn’t deserve to have their book panned because the reader bit off more than they could chew. Kitty French states right in her synopsis that this is a book about cheating…

So I took myself out of the line of fire. If I can read vampires, aliens, zombies, and billionaires who can be healed with the power of love… I can sure as hell plant myself firmly in the land of
this is fiction
And get over my hang-ups.

I will continue the series.
I will probably remain reticent to read adultery romance in the future.
I appreciate this book for what it is.
Kitty French did a great job with this book. Credit where credit is due.

I love two men. I screw two men. I am in a relationship with them both, and they are both aware there is another. That is all they need to know, that is all I let them know. They don’t need to know a name; they don’t need to know anything but that they are not alone in my heart.

They have accepted the situation. Stewart, because his life is too busy for the sort of obligations that are required in a relationship. Paul, because he loves me too much to tell me no. And because my sexual appetite is such that one man has trouble keeping up.

So we exist, two parallel relationships, each running their own course, with no need for intersection or conflict. It works for us, for them, and for me. I don’t expect it to be a long-term situation. I know there is an expiration date on the easy perfection of our lives.

I should have paid more attention, should have looked around and noticed the woman who watched it all. She sat in the background and waited, tried to figure me out. Saw my two relationships, the love between us, and the moment that it all fell apart.

She hates me.
I don’t even know she exists.
She loves them. I love them.
And they love me.

EVERYTHING else hangs in the balance.
