Andrea Smith – These Men

These Men by Andrea Smith

Series: G-Man (Spin-off)
Source: Personal Library
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This novella is a spin-off from the G-Men Series and can be read as a stand-alone.

Paige Matthews has a lot to learn – about everything, including herself. At age twenty-two, Paige finds herself driving across the country to start an internship with the F.B.I. in Quantico, Virginia.

You would think that Paige would be grateful to her older brother, Trace Matthews, a senior F.B.I. agent who pulled strings on her behalf to get her into the program, right?

Wrong.

Paige is not overly enthused at the realization that her parents have pushed her from the nest and onto her older brother’s plate for the time being. Always a loner, she quickly wears out her welcome with Trace and his wife Lindsey, due to her . . . need for random hook-ups, and finds herself crashing with her oldest brother, Easton, and his wife Darcy.

Through Darcy, Paige is introduced to her sister-in-law’s former roommate and bestie male friend, Eli Chambers, along with his sinfully handsome partner, Cain Maddox. They’re looking for a roommate and Paige is looking to get out from underneath her family’s watchful eye.

This is no typical “Three’s Company” story though. Paige embarks on a journey of self-discovery that teaches her not only about giving, but about accepting love as well. She soon realizes that sometimes what you’re searching for has been right there with you all along.

I’m a total sucker for a well-crafted Menage story…

“A threesome is an event,” he replied. “I’m looking for much more than that, Paige.”

Modern Erotic Romance is a wide world full of diverse sub-genres. There is something for everyone! No matter your kink, there’s an author who can satisfy your needs.

Some readers flock to Billionaires, Cowboys, Vampires, or Rockstars… Some readers dig on Happily-ever-Afters, dirty-talk, abductions, BDSM, Motorcycle gangs…

I’ll stop now, but you get the idea…

As you may already know, I am a Professional Reader of Erotica. I have read every kink imaginable and I am often asked “What is your favorite kind of Erotica?” and the answer has been the same for years.

MMF Erotic Romance is my jam.

MMF Romance: That’s two bisexual males and one female.
One Relationship, three hearts, three minds, three souls, and yes… One bed.

(Find More MMF Romances I’ve reviewed by clicking here)

The sex is a huge draw for me (obviously) in these types of relationships, but it also brings out my favorite kind of angst and indecision.

Plus, it is a difficult scenario to write… and write well.
The reader has to LIKE all three of the parties involved.

If any of the three rub the reader the wrong way, we will immediately start hoping that the trio turns into a happy duo.

There are so many pieces of information which must come together to satisfy the reader’s desire to know that this (yes, I know it’s fictional) relationship, however uncommon, is built to last.

That’s a lot of suspension of disbelief. It is a hard enough thing to accomplish a believable love story between two parties…
But this is about THREE.
three personalities
three back-stories

…and Andrea Smith took on the monumental task of accomplishing it in 140 pages.

My hat is off to Andrea Smith… I’d love to see what she can do with a full length novel & the MMF theme… And by that I mean:

Dear Andrea Smith,
Please may I have some more?

C.D. Reiss – Kick

Kick by C.D. Reiss

Series: Songs of Perdition #1
Source: Personal Library
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fiona Drazen, sex addict, submissive slave, celebutante, trapped in a mental ward until Dr. Elliot Chapman can help her remember why she’s there. But once she does, she might not want to go home to the Master she tried to kill.

***This is the first of a serial. It’s about 120 pages and ends in a cliffhanger, because that’s how I roll. There’s also a ton of drug use, and educated men who like dirty sex, because that’s also how I roll***

Star_full48Star_full48Star_full48Star_full48

The Bend Anthology kicks it up a notch with this amazing edge-of-your-seat sexual/psychological thrill ride…

Have you ever read a book and had the perfect musical accompaniment pop in your head? That happened with a vengeance for this book with an earwig from Tove Lo (remixed by Hippie Sabotage) the song is called Habits and it fits like a glove with this short story…

That damn song ran in my head on repeat while I was reading… And so I found myself absorbed in another C.D. Reiss tale… The woman is the queen of tension and a mastermind of cliffhangers…

It is not necessary to be familiar with the Songs of Submission Series, but fans will appreciate that this book takes place ten years before Beg, and overlaps the flashback episode of that series, Rachel

If follows Fiona Drazen, older sister in the infamous Drazen clan. She is your stereotypical heiress party girl whose life has become a blur of parties, drugs, and sex. The only rock steadying her in the turbulent sea of her life is her Dom, Deacon…

I knew who I was. I was a celebrity without talent. I was an heiress. I was a whore. I was a party waiting to happen. I was an addict. I was his, and in that last definition— that I was owned by Deacon I knew my place in the chaos.

We meet Fiona the moment she wakes strapped to an unfamiliar bed. Her waking memory comes complete with a blank spot which landed her in Westonwood Acres – a mental facility of California’s most affluent fuck ups and liabilities.

Where is Deacon?
Why is Fiona locked up in Westonwood Acres?
What happened in the hours/days before waking in that sterile prison?

More importantly, does she really want to remember?

As Fiona and her unflappable psychiatrist, Dr. Elliot try to sort through the fog of Fiona’s memories, we are treated to a host of flashbacks…

In the true fashion of C.D. Reiss this IS a big nasty cliffhanger…

If you know me, you know about the cliffhangers, and the ending of Kick would have been of no consequence. If you don’t know me, well, I do cliffies, and that one was pretty bad. Kick is the first book of a story told in serial novella format, called Songs of Perdition

The next installment in that series is predicted to come out around mid-July, but I have learned my lesson with C.D. Reiss and I will be waiting until the entire series is finished before I read Songs of Perdition. As I mentioned before, C.D. Reiss is a master of the cliffhanger, and I have LOVED everything she has written. I will certainly read the rest of the series, but my fragile psyche can only handle so much. I enjoy her work much more when I can plow through an entire series at once.

Holy Hell!

I wanted her with a primal intensity that consumed me. Fuck her raw. Make her need me as much as I was suddenly dying for her. I wanted to hear her screams bouncing off the stone walls, mark her with my come. Taint her innocence, then fuck her all over again.

Poor Jared…

COME by J.A. Huss

Series: Dirty, Dark, and Deadly #1
Source: Personal Library
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

A dirty promise turns into a dark obsession…

He must have her, take her, control her, keep her. She will submit. But she will do it when she is ready and willing. The bond is uneasy and the future uncertain. But one thing’s for sure.

Alone… Harper and James are dangerous.

Together… they are unstoppable.

Star_full48Star_full48Star_full48Star_half

J.A. Huss entertains with a sexy stalker and a girl on the run.

He tastes like salt and he kisses like the sea. Like a dangerous, killing, unforgiving sea that can do whatever it wants with my body. Toss me, twirl me, take me under and steal the breath right out of me. Make me powerless.
And that’s exactly how I feel.

This is definitely a little taste to get you hooked and ready to devour the author’s upcoming Dirty, Dark, and Deadly series… The next installment is due out at end of June and the second and final book is due in late September.

In this short story, we are introduced to Harper who has put forth a lot of energy to disappear…

She is hiding out in California, with only the sun to keep her company…
Until she meets him

And he is downright lethal

JAMES FENICI

James is an assassin for the very people Harper is on the run from…

They should be running as far away from each other as possible, but fate (and the laws of attraction) have other ideas…

Alone… Harper and James are dangerous.
Together… they are unstoppable.

K. Bromberg – UnRaveled

UnRaveledUnRaveled by K. Bromberg

Source: Personal Library
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

UnRaveled is a darker erotic novella that is not suitable for people sensitive to non-consensual sex. This is a story about a stale marriage and the couple’s unconvential attempt to find that spark again.

This novella was originally released as part of the Erotica Consortium’s anthology – BEND.

One night.
One mistake.
Filled with fear.
Sated by pleasure.
Robbed of control.
Blindfolded and bound.
Shamed she liked it.
Doomed to want it.
Limits tested.
Boundaries pushed.
Desire awakened.
Inhibition unleashed.
An identity unraveled.
Lives changed forever.

An Erotic Abduction Fantasy for your steamy pleasure:

(BEWARE OF SPOILERS)

“I’m going to fuck you. By the time I’m done, you’ll beg me to keep going. Then you’ll beg me to stop. Regardless, you’ll take what I give you – all of it – and you’ll enjoy every single fucking moment of it. And Marco is going to watch. Understood?”

This short story has themes which many find objectionable – I’m not one of them, but I feel obligated to warn you of the contents:
– Abduction
– Non/Dubious Consent
– Forced Infidelity
– BDSM Sexual Situations

Left alone on what should have been the romantic Tenth Wedding Anniversary vacation of her dreams, Lil is mourning the loss of sexual satisfaction in her marriage.

While drinking in a bar, her eyes meet those of a mysterious stranger, and the consequences of that one glance have a ripple effect which will change her life forever.

Lil is drugged by this stranger and wakes blindfolded, chained to a bed, & naked…

The kinky details:

– Blindfolds
– Ball-Gags
– Shackles
– Chains
– Hot Wax
– Floggers
– Butt Plugs
– Forced Exhibitionism
– Double-Penetration

…The real story is that Lil must to grips with the fact that on some level she ENJOYS what is happening to her.

How can I find pleasure from this man who is holding me against my will?

I must admit that I do love a good abduction fantasy…

On a side note:
The saving grace for this story in the eyes and minds of the squeamish Erotica reader might be the twist at the end…
But is was an easy conclusion that Anderson had orchestrated the elaborate abduction/seduction, and that he was the mysterious voyeur present…

This story might not be for general audiences, but I certainly enjoyed it, and it set the tone for things to come…
