Series: Social Media #5
Source: Personal Library
My Rating: 4.5 of 5 Stars
All the best fairytale princesses have the most horrific pasts. Mine just happens to be more horrific than most.
Fantasizing over Vaughn Asher was a dream. Meeting Vaughn Asher was a fairytale. Loving Vaughn Asher was my downfall.
The past is always there. Waiting. Waiting to expose you. Waiting to ruin you. Waiting to take you back.
Sometimes not even a prince can save you.

The Social Media series is getting better & better…
Did it just get a little dark in here?
(Spoilers only if you haven’t read the first 4 Books in the series)
I knew he was coming. And I’m ready.
In the last moments of the previous book (Status) Vaughn Asher had one more secret to reveal… Grace and Vaughn were married in a 3AM ceremony that fateful night in Las Vegas. Of course, Grace woke up with no memory of that night, so discovering that she had tied the knot sent her into a rage.
Vaughn was promptly kicked out of her (recently renovated) Denver Apartment and he slept on a chair in the lobby.
All the security installed by Vaughn Asher couldn’t stop what happened next…
Grace was abducted from the roof of her apartment building…
That tense moment was the cliffhanger at the end of Status, and even though I was on the edge of my seat to discover what happened next, I also felt vindicated in my choice to wait until this entire serial was published before reading it. If I had to wait – even for an hour – before picking up the next book, I might have gone crazy.
If you feel the same, rest assured that this book picks up the following morning…
I always knew he was out there. I’ve been waiting for him for ten years. He stole two hundred and twenty days. And there’s no fucking way I’m going to let this sick freak claim any more.
This day is the only one he gets. It’s me or him. One way or another, it will end tonight.
Grace wakes up in a terrifyingly familiar place. The house might have been remodeled, but her dark & dank closet prison from ten years ago remains the same… and for the most part, so does the psychopath who took her.
He has a new mask now…
And Grace is no longer protected by her virtuous youth…
I might never get to set this right. I might never get a second chance. But if I do, I will make sure Grace Kinsella understands just how perfect and precious she really is. I will spend the rest of my life making her feel loved and safe.
The moment Vaughn discovers that Grace is missing, he knows in his gut that she’s been abducted by the same twisted kidnapper from ten years ago. He immediately calls the local police and FBI, but instead of instigating a manhunt, he finds himself suspect number one in Grace’s disappearance.
Someone is setting him up…
His wealth and status are completely useless in this dire situation…
When Grace was a teenager, it took eight months for her to be completely brainwashed by her captor. It’s taken her ten years to heal and reinvent herself after her ordeal…
Can she possibly survive this man again?
And what kind of damage will she be left with this time?
Things are really heating up with this series. I can barely stop long enough to write reviews… I’m off to read the next book!
