How does life change once you decide you’re ready for your FFE… first female experience?

Laura has been in two serious relationships in her life. She dated Ethan all through college, and after grad school Laura was engaged to Will. But now single again at 27, she has finally admitted something to herself — Laura wants her first female experience. With a touch of humor and echoes of erotic romance, here’s a short story about meeting someone to make that big first step.

Naughty, Light, Sweet, & Fluffy!
Like cotton candy, and you’ll devour it just as greedily…

I find myself checking out every single chick I see, and allowing myself to get a little turned on if I want. It’s OK, I’m totally free – I know what I want – and I’m ready to experience life. I want to live and love…

Laura has been in and out of relationships which never really worked for her – she always felt like she was playing a role, and was never really satisfied.

She’s ready to make a change…
She’s finally gathered her courage…
She’s decided she’s ready for her FFE…
Her First Female Experience, and we’re along for the ride.

Laura takes to the personal ads of her local newspaper in search of the perfect listing – she likes the romance and whimsy of finding someone who can seduce her in print…

But then her local newspaper goes digital…
And the women she finds in the personal ads are not working out…

The first half of the story follows Laura on a series of botched attempts to find a woman to experiment with.

Now that she’s decided she’s ready to take the leap, it seems like it’s all she can think about. Laura’s fantasies run wild with each possible connection, but ultimately fizzle out before they ever get started. Real life sucks like that sometimes 😉

Eventually Laura comes to the conclusion that drinking tea and perusing the personals while fantasizing about the perfect female sexual encounter aren’t actually going to help her FIND that perfect female…

She begins looking closer to home, and a brand new steamy adventure begins…

I’m supposed to be at work, but I’m in a naked 69 with this super-hot chick from my neighborhood. I should put that on my email auto-responder.

As I said, this was light reading. Pure sweet erotic fluff, and a perfect quick read to spice up an afternoon. Sure to put a smile on your face.

On a side note: While I was at University, I took a class called Contemporary Women’s Health Issues, and the cover image for this book was the same cover image used on my textbook for that class… Trust me when I say this was a FAR more interesting read than my textbook was! 🙂

Excerpt

“Looking for a femme friend :), w4w, age 24
Looking for a girl (femme) who’s NOT necessarily looking for a relationship. I want a girlfriend to fool around with, whatever is comfortable with you. I love films, shopping, and going to cool restaurants. Consider me like a best friend, but someone who isn’t afraid to get touchy. My passions: I love reading, poetry, and drawing/sketching. I’m also kind of a big gamer girl, and I love “the Walking Dead”, and other zombie stories. I don’t want to tell you too much, but if you like what you’ve read, please send me an email w/your picture (1 or 2?), and you’ll get a couple back. (No naked photos – I want to discover that myself!). Can’t wait to hear from you 🙂

—————————

Whoa. This one looks promising.

I read it again just before dinner and I was getting a little steamy, but it took me until after 9:30 to finally craft my response:

Hi Femme Friend: You sound really interesting and the idea of a gamer/zombie girl who also likes to write poetry and to draw intrigues me. I finished grad school and stayed here to start working, but I want to meet more great people. I’m “not afraid to get touchy”, but I’m still accepting the new me w4w – so taking it slow would be good. I’m not sure I want a relationship either, just — I guess — my first female experience, my FFE, if you know what I mean. — VanillaSoy”

Interview with Anja Talbot

If you were to describe your book in only one word, what would it be?
Short.

What would you say inspired you to write it?
Well, I wanted to write a sweet and SEXY short story about those big turning-point days in life. I think most of our days are just routine, but some days in life are so important because of new people that you meet, or because you’ve made some big ground-breaking decision. That’s what inspired me – to capture that feeling.

What was the source of inspiration for Laura?
A very dear friend of mine, mixed with some autobiographical stuff, mixed with my imagination!

What is your all time favorite book?
Too many to choose from!

What made you decide to become an Author?
I have so many stories to tell! There’s all of my Anja Talbot books, but I write under some other pen names, so it’s always interesting to me because I can explore so many aspects of my personality and interests.

Would you say becoming an author has changed you? In what way?
I think of stories all day! I think of stories everywhere I go, and listen to speech patterns more often.

What would you say was the toughest part?
Not enough time in the day…

Have you ever been hit by the infamous “writer’s block”? What did you do to escape it?
No, usually just have too many projects at once that I get overwhelmed. If I get stuck, I usually work on something else or go relax in the tub!

Was there ever a time, during your work for this book, when you felt like giving up? What made you change your mind?
Nope. I’m committed.

What does your day-to-day life consist of? What else do you do, aside writing?
I write, I teach a little, make some music, more writing, and spend time with the loves of my life!

How do you deal with bad reviews or acid criticism? What would you advise other authors to that effect?
Bad reviews inspire me to keep at it. I accept that the reader could be on to something so I try to learn from all my negative comments, but I don’t dwell on them.

What do you have in store for us in the future? What are you working on/planning on next?
My latest book “Female Touch” is coming out very soon! I also have some more Lesbian sci-fi with my “Mission Comes First” series, and my take on lesbian paranormal romance… I’m so excited.

How long did the production part take, from the moment you began working on the manuscript to when you hit ‘Publish’?
I’m not sure because I always juggle multiple stories, but I also often reread these books and make post-publish edits if it feels right.

What’s the longest time you’ve spent working on a project?
Probably 18 months.

Did you hire professionals for editing, cover design, formatting?
Yes, and no. Pros and semi-pros, and some in-house work.

How did you decide who to hire, if you worked with pros?
I build working relationships slowly and then use people who tend to deliver great work and communicate well.

Where is your work being distributed? How did you decide which one(s) to go with?
At this point Amazon, but I have other projects on B&N, Kobo, and Apple. Amazon’s still the big pool… the rest don’t do much yet.

If you could turn back in time and do things differently, would you? What would you change?
No regrets, baby!

Fun facts:

If you could wish for any one thing, and it would immediately come true, what would you wish for?
End of all wars, all across the globe… a waste of time, money, lives, and peace of mind… (it’s true — make love, not war, people!)

If you were stranded on an isolated island, what’s the one item you’d absolutely wish to have with you?
My purple love socket pocket-rocket.

Name your favorite fruit.
Pineapple…. yummy.

Favorite season?
I love autumn. Once the summer is over, and it starts to get a little chilly, I get so more work done.

How about favorite time of the day?
Morning I’m pretty alert, but I’m still a night owl.

Were you a Girl Scout?
Nope. Bad-ass cookies, though.

Favorite food for breakfast?
Chai and a bagel… sometimes a banana, pear, or some pineapple, too.

What is the latest book you’ve bought and read?
Just read A Higher Education by Harper Bliss. Awesome.

What was the last book you absolutely fell in love with?
I read Crash by David W. Wright and couldn’t put it down…

Is there a book you keep meaning to read, but haven’t gotten around to it? Don’t worry, we all have ridiculously long TBRs!
Still haven’t read At the Water’s Edge by Harper Bliss

Favorite color, you know you want to tell us!
Purple. Makes me think I’m royalty when I wear purple…

Coffee or tea?
Tea…

Sweet or salty?
Salty…

Drama or comedy?
Drama!

Cats or dogs?
Cats…

Do you have a favorite quote or personal motto?
